When a loved one is hospitalized, being close matters. Hanson House Foundation provides safe, comfortable, and affordable lodging for families traveling to the Coachella Valley while their loved one receives medical care.
 

How to Get a Room 

  

To stay at Hanson House Foundation, a referral is required.

Referrals must be submitted by a hospital or clinic social worker or nurse from the facility where your loved one is receiving care. Once your referral is received, our team will review room availability and contact you with the next steps.
 

Nightly Lodging Rates

• Two-Bedroom Casita: $70/night

• One-Bedroom Casita: $60/night

• Cancer Patients & Families: $40/night

• NICU Parents & Families: $40/night

• Active Military Families: $35/night

• RV Space: $35/night
   

Financial Assistance
 

At Hanson House Foundation, we believe no family should have to face the added burden of finding a place to stay during a medical crisis.
 

We do not turn families away solely because of an inability to pay. Our lodging fees are offered on a sliding scale, and we are committed to working with families to find a payment arrangement that fits their circumstances whenever possible. Our priority is to provide eligible families with a safe, welcoming place to stay while their loved one focuses on healing.
 

Additional financial assistance may also be available:

• Families of Active Military patients may submit a request to have their lodging fees waived through the generous support of the YMCA of the 29 Palms.

• Cancer patients and their families may qualify for lodging assistance through grants provided by our local community partners and supporting organizations, subject to available funding.
