Testimonials

Thank you to everyone for the help during my father’s final days. If it was not for The Hanson House, I would not have been able to be with him during his painful struggle and his final hours. I’m grateful for your organization and what it does.

In Casita #5, I left a Cordova classical guitar and a stand. I want to donate this as a small thank you. I purchased the instrument to help me cope with the pain I was feeling throughout this ordeal. I hope the gift on music will help others cope through the unfamiliar paths that medical emergencies can lead us. It did wonders for my soul while I was slowly being dragged to emotional depths I never thought I would see. In the end, I lost my father. He slipped peacefully into eternity in a painless somnambulant state surrounded by the love and laughter of his children.

I recorded this song to share with him, but he never got to hear it. It’s not my best work. I wasn’t fully rehearsed, my voice was always on the cusp of breaking emotionally, and… the doors there slam kinda loudly. It’s not my song; just my version of it. I hope others can find some healing in it as I did. Listen to the song here.

One love, Leo A. Lumer
