Desert Roots: A Sunset Reception for Wellness & Community

Join Hanson House Foundation for Desert Roots, a special gathering celebrating wellness, connection, and community beneath the desert sky. The evening begins with complimentary wellness experiences from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM featuring yoga, light movement, and interactive wellness activities, along with curated exhibits from local wellness and family-focused non-profit organizations sharing resources that support physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

Following the wellness portion, guests are invited to stay for a vibrant Golden Hour reception featuring live music, appetizers, cocktails, and opportunity prizes, while connecting with community leaders and partners in a beautiful indoor estate setting as the sun sets.

Many of the families served by Hanson House travel from the East Valley and surrounding communities, with 23% of our guests coming from the East Valley alone. During the summer months, the House is especially busy, as families often bring their children while a loved one receives medical care. For many, traveling back and forth isn’t possible due to the cost of transportation or limited access to reliable travel.

At Hanson House, we provide far more than lodging. Families have access to children’s activities, a food pantry, laundry facilities, and welcoming community spaces where they can gather and support one another. These resources help ensure that families feel cared for and connected rather than isolated during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
