Art Walk for Life Brings Art, Community and Giving Together in the Perez Art District

This December, artists in the Perez Art District will come together for Art Walk for Life, a special evening of art, collecting and giving back, benefiting Hanson House, a “home away from home” for families and loved ones of critically ill and injured patients receiving treatment in the Coachella Valley.

Art Walk for Life will take place on Friday, December 18, from 4–7 p.m., in place of the regular December Fourth Friday Art Walk, which falls on Christmas this year.

Participating artists will open their studios to the public, offering visitors an opportunity to meet artists, view their work and collect original art while supporting Hanson House.

Artists will donate a portion of their sales to Hanson House, with each artist choosing what percentage they donate.

Sell art. Give back.

“We’re excited to bring new collectors into the Perez Art District while doing something meaningful for Hanson House. It’s a wonderful opportunity for artists, collectors and the community.”

— Anne Bedrick, Perez Art District

Hanson House provides a supportive place for families and caregivers to stay while their loved ones receive treatment at Coachella Valley hospitals. The organization serves cancer patients, families of critically ill newborns, military families from Twentynine Palms and families of First Responders. No one is turned away because of an inability to pay.

As part of Art Walk for Life, Hanson House Executive Director Ivonne Moreno will visit participating studios ahead of the event to identify artworks that Hanson House would like to acquire for its guest houses and common areas. Selected works will be marked “Purchase Me for Hanson House.”

Art Walk for Life offers an opportunity to discover new artists, welcome new collectors to the Perez Art District and support an important local organization.

The event will be preceded by Blasto Boy Guitars’ Open Mic Night benefiting Hanson House on Thursday, December 17, from 6–8 p.m. There is no charge to perform, and 100% of entrance fees will be donated to Hanson House.

We invite our community members, local artists, poetry enthusiasts, and supporters to join us in celebrating these creative events. Whether you attend, share the news, support participating artists, or help spread the word, your involvement makes a difference.

Every act of support helps Hanson House Foundation provide a safe, caring, and affordable home away from home for families facing critical medical challenges.

Together, we can turn creativity into compassion and inspiration into hope!

Stay tuned for more event details, and join us in supporting Hanson House Foundation and the families who need us most.
